“What is the American dream?”
The American Dream is basically opportunity. Every American has the same opportunities, whatever your dream, it is achievable. Ephesians 3:20 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

“Where did the American Dream come from?”
I believe it came from so many immigrants coming to this country poor, and becoming successful. Many immigrants came over and became business owners, something that was inconceivable in their home country. This all started when the first colony’s first settled this land in hopes for a new life. Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that kept the law, happy is he.

How has it shaped our society in America?
It's had good and bad outcomes on society: People believe they can become anything they want. When you truly believe that, you work hard to achieve that dream, and may in turn become what you want. However, many believe that the American dream is material. It creates a nation of consumers, because people believe they should get everything they want. They may also become bitter towards the American dream, or America itself, when their dreams are
