Global tourisms impact on Malaysia
Global tourism - it comprises the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited(World Tourist Organization).

As of 2011, Malaysia ranks 9th among the top most visited countries in the world, after Germany. All these scenic natural beauty along with a diversity of cultures, well-structured development in all the sectors has given a boost to tourism which forms increasingly important sector of the Malaysian economy.
The tourism industry has experienced rapid growth and continues to be a key foreign exchange earner.
In an effort to diversify the economy and make Malaysia’s economy less dependent on exports the government has pushed to increase tourism in Malaysia. As a result tourism has become Malaysia’s third largest source of income from foreign exchange, and accounted for 7% of Malaysia's economy as of 2005.

The tourism in Malaysia has positive effects, but also negatives. In the positives is the creation of employment as new infrastructure needs to be built results in the increase of economic levels, the positive effect for the new inversions in the conservation of natural spaces.
