“Allergan Inc. is a global, technology-driven multi-specialty health care company pursuing therapeutic advances to help patients live life to their fullest potential” (Allergan.com) that has been around for more than 60 years. The founder of this company was Mr. Gavin S. Herbert, he was a successful drug store owner. He and a close friend Stanley Bly came up with a nose spray antihistamine for allergy relief, it was named Allergan Nasal Drops. The product was reformulated to become the first ever antihistamine eye drop. Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was established in 1950. In 1957 he turned the company of to his son Gavin Herbert, Jr. he was able to create new products during his time with the company, but in the mid 1990’s the helm was turned over to Mr. David Pyott who is currently the CEO, Chairman of Board and President of the company. He has been with this company since Jan. 1998. He has worked in the nutrition and health field for over 30 years. He uses the Motto: “Our Pursuit. The company was founded by Dr. Wallace C. Abbott in his kitchen in the 1880’s. Dr. Abbott was also the founder of Abbott Laboratories which is where tests, trials and development took place for the next couple decades for Hospira. Today F.
