Have you ever been so far from home?Moving abroad, whether you are studying,working or just traveling for a short period of time, is not easy feat. When you are living in a foreign country makes you miss everything about your own country,and you have to do a lot of changes to fit in a new environment.
First of all,when I first came to the United states, I didn't know how to speak english well and I was very scared when I met someone. I thought about it everyday because English is one of the hardest things is to communicate with native language. Altought,Learning a new language takes time, but I have learned that it is essencial communicate with others that are around you. Even, no matter ethnic,country,religion,or color. Also, it is imporant how to treat and express in different ways with people wherever you go. For Example,if you going to the restaurant,to the store,and so on. In short ,after a while you begin to feel confortable with the language spoken.
Second, being adapting to new habits and lifestyle. America has diferent customs from Colombia.For Example ,the time for the meals, will be different from what I'm used to. Living abroad and experiencing a different culture is an adventure and a challenge so,,after this you will be more open minded.
