The compare and contrast of heredity and hormones on human behavior starts with the Endocrine system and the nervous system, they work within the body consistently. The endocrine glands release hormones throughout your body by the bloodstream.
Hormones organize the nervous and body tissues. The hormones activate the human behavior, they affect the human’s alertness or sleepiness, excitability, sexual behavior, ability to concentrate, aggressiveness, reactions to stress, and the desire for another human companionship. Hormones can affect a human beings mood, emotional reactivity, ability to learn, and ability to resist disease.
The endocrine glands are what make up the endocrine system. Those glands are the pituitary gland, pineal gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid, pancreas, adrenal glands, gonads and ovaries.
The pituitary glands produce the largest number of hormones and have the largest range of effects on the body’s functions. The pituitary gland plays the role and affects the blood pressure, thirst, sexual behavior, body growth, etc.
The Pineal gland creates the melatonin hormone. This hormone influences the regulation of sleep and awake cycles. The thyroid gland creates the hormone thyroxin; it controls the body’s rate of metabolism. This also has the effect on how alert and energetic people are and their body fat wither someone is fat or thin.
In the thyroid glands are located parathyroid. They are four tiny organs that balance how much calcium and phosphate is within the human body.
The pancreas has control over how much sugar is in the blood. There are two hormones in the pancreas that help keep the blood-sugar level balanced.
There are two adrenal glands, the adrenal medulla and the adrenal cortex. They affect how the human body reacts
