ESPN is a company for sports lovers, like me. It is a large company that that debuts sporting events, live interviews, and sport chats all. It broadcasts its show on TV, on air, and even in a magazine. ESPN stands for Entertainment and Sports Programming Network. “ESPN was founded by Bill Rasmussen, his son Scott Rasmussen, and Aeta insurance agent Ed Eagan. ESPN was first launched on September 7, 1979 in Connecticut,” (Wikipedia). ESPN owns a show called Sports Center which also gives the company much popularity. ESPN also owns many channels including ESPN 2, ESPN 3, ESPN Films, ESPN University, and even channels in other countries.
“ESPN The Magazine is a biweekly sports magazine published by the ESPN sports network in Bristol, Connecticut in the United States. The first issue was published on March 11, 1998,” (Wikipedia). The magazine is filled with many different articles mainly on sports, and big named athletes. People buy this magazine to get the inside scoop on their favorite athletes and sports. There are also pages with statistics showing which teams are better in these sports. ESPN is owned by two companies. Eighty percent goes to The Walt Disney Company, and twenty percent goes to The Hearst Corporation.
There is only one version of ESPN The Magazine. It is a large magazine that is bigger than your normal sized magazines. ESPN is written across the front-top of the magazine in a bright red color, making it very noticeable. On the inside, there are quite of few advertisements of cars, clothes, and even accessories. Some advertisements may take up both pages to really catch your eye. The pictures of sports the magazine has, are very big and sharp. Some of the pictures take both sides of the magazine helping you get a great image. My personal favorites are the ones showing the football fields because the images are very sharp. The pictures are so sharp, you can even see the individuals that are in the crowd from far distances. The colors that are used really compliment each other well and really catch your eye on their articles and statistic pages.

Article Analysis In the article I have chosen to analyze, it is promoting “Tag Body Spray” for men in ESPN magazine. It is set up with a man on the ground, his shirt ripped and his belt is undone, and five women, in short-skirts and low-cut shirts with an open lab coat over them. The scene seems to take place in a laboratory where the five women appear as researchers with their lab coats and clipboards. The researchers are over the man, pinning him down with their feet in a somewhat sexual pose…
play this game is both physically and mentally exhausting. For everyone who still considers sports having to do something with physical, I question you this: Why is poker considered a sport? Another thing poker has going for it, sports-wise, is that ESPN and the Fox Sports Network both cover it regularly (Lovinger 2004). Not just poker, but there are many other activities that are also considered a sport, some of which are the following: NASCAR, golf, archery, and shooting . The reason being is that…
