The contract of employment includes employer name, job title, date of joining, notice period, duties and hours of work and pay.
For example: Name:xxxxx, Employee:NHS , Job title: Admin, Duties: filing clinical notes, taking notes to appropriate ward, answering telephone calls.Salary:12,000p.a

3. Identify a range of places where a person can find information on employment rights and responsibilities. You should identify at least two internal and two external sources of information.

Internal Sources of information include line managers, personnel specialists, trade union representatives and staff association representatives.

External sources of information include trade unions, Acas, cititizen advice bureau and libraries.

4. Describe how representative bodies can support employees.

One example of a representative body is a Trade Union. They are organisations that shows the interests for their members and their members might share an occupation in common industry.

They assist through work based representatives and can help employees in Health & Safety, pensions, redundancy, learning and Collective Bargaining.

5. Briefly describe employer and employee responsibilities for equality and diversity in a business environment. You should give at least two employer responsibilities and two employee responsibilities.

If possible, provide relevant equality and diversity procedures from your workplace (or place of study) to support your answer. These documents should be annotated to highlight the relevant sections.

The employer responsibilities for equality and diversity in a business environment by providing training to staff on equality and diversity, developing procedures to address if an employer has equality and diversity issues and making sure the managers encourage fair treatment to all staff.

The employee responsibilities for equality and diversity in a business environment by understanding the equality and diversity policies and procedures in organisation. This include by not pre- judging the people , looking at the positive aspects that people bring, showing interest to learn about people, and being always polite, patient and treating all people with the same respect.
