Electromagnetic spectrum
The electromagnetic spectrum is made of different types of electromagnetic radiation.
White light is able to be separated in a spectrum of many various colours, where visible light is a part of continuous spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. All types of various electromagnetic waves are moving at same speed in space.( BBC News, 2015)

Different types of radiation
There are different types of electromagnetic radiation such as: Gamma radiation, X-ray, Ultraviolet, visible light, infrared, microwave and radio wave. All types of has named are travelling at same speed into space (speed of light) and they all are transverse wave.

The use of wave in communication there are different types of Electromagnetic radiation that can be applied for communication such as:
Radio wave: can be used for transmit television and radio application.
Infrared: can be applied to transmit details from location to location for example: television remote control and information links between two computers
Microwave: can be used to spread signal and mobile phone.
The use of ionising and non-ionising radiation in home and workplace.
Both case of these radiation can be used in home and workplace. Non ionising radiation are not dangerous for human and body because of their low frequency, low energy and long wavelength. in other hand, ionising radiation are dangerous for human and body and causing DNA cancer, because of their high frequency, high energy and short wavelength.

The benefit of wireless communication.
It is easy to use. easy to set up and program supporter.
It can connect anytime and anywhere.
No hassles of using cable using hot spot
Cost. the price of wireless network is low and cheap.
Flexibility. the radio wave can travel into wall and not needed to wired network.
Durability. Wireless network is solid and able to perform in long period of time.
the possible negative effect of ionising and non ionising radiation.
Alpha and beta particle: results radiation illness such as: skin burn, hair damage and loss, cancer on human body and skin lesion.
Electromagnetic Spectrum Electromagnetic radiation occurs all around us and throughout space. It is produced through the interaction of electric and magnetic fields. These two fields always exist together. Electromagnetic waves can have a large range of frequencies or wavelengths. They are seven types of electromagnetic spectrum. They are: * Radio waves e.g used in TV and radio transmissions * Microwaves e.g used for mobile phone links * Infrared waves e.g used for some…
White light can be split up into a spectrum of many different colours and visible light is just part of a continuous spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. Different types of electromagnetic radiation have different hazards and uses. What is a spectrum? The visible spectrum a rainbow appears to come out of the prism Using a prism, you can split up white light to form a spectrum. (A prism is a block of glass with a triangular cross-section.) The light waves are refracted as they enter and leave the…
The Electromagnetic Spectrum All devices have electromagnetic waves; radios and microwaves are all examples. These devices are also part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Electromagnetic waves can also travel through a vacuum. This means they do not require a medium. Since these waves can travel in space their speed is referred to as the speed of light. The speed of light is 300,000 km/s. As of right now nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. The spectrum also has…
gamma rays are just one part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The electromagnetic spectra includes radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, visible light, ultraviolet waves, xrays, and gamma rays. Electromagnetic radiation is basically particles that act like waves. The EM spectra is continuous which means it has no gaps, holes, or breaks of any kind. 10 All electromagnetic waves travel in a vacuum at a speed of 3.0 x 10 cm/s. (write down equation) Now what does an electromagnetic wave look like? (write EM wave…
Introduction Electromagnetic radiation, generally known as light, is energy composed of electric and magnetic field components. It also displays wavelike properties such as refraction, reflection, diffraction, and interference. Electromagnetic waves can be found in different forms, these include radio waves, microwaves, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, x-rays, and gamma rays. “Despite the fact that all these electromagnetic waves travel at the same speed, they differ in…
Naudia Blanton Period 9 Due: 1-2-14 Abstract: The purpose of the Spectroscope lab is simple. It is basically to see the spectrum of different light sources. Some of the light sources included are sunlight and a candle. It focuses on the difference between their spectrums. Background: Electromagnetic Spectrum - The range of wavelengths or frequencies over which electromagnetic radiation extends. (GOOGLE Definition) Notes from class: Amplitude: the waves height from 0 to the crest Wavelength: (λ)…
have certain wave properties and light has certain particle-like properties. 3. Electrons and light both have dual wave-particle natures. II. THE BOHR MODEL A. Bohr Model of the Atom 1. In 1913, Niels Bohr, explained the hydrogen spectrum. His reasoning was this: # 1: Energy is being added to the hydrogen gas in the form of electricity. # 2: Energy is leaving the tube in the form of light. # 3: The energy of the light leaving the tube is quantized - only certain…

general model of electromagnetic radiation: a. one object (a source) emits radiation b. the radiation travels outwards from the source and can be reÀ ected, transmitted or absorbed (or a combination of these) by materials it encounters c. radiation may affect another object (a detector) some distance away, when it is absorbed P2.1.2. understand that light is one of a family of radiations called the electromagnetic spectrum P2.1.3. understand that a beam of electromagnetic radiation transfers…
