DNA = Deoxyribonucleic acid structure is known as a double helix
Contains 4 bases:
Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine & Guanine
Adenine always pairs with Thymine.
Cytosine always pairs with Guanine.
Double Helix is supported by a sugar/phosphate backbone
Segments of DNA are known as genes (genes determine the organism’s characteristics and features in correspondence to it’s parent organisms)
