What is diversity? Why is diversity valued?
Diversity can be differences in heritage, race, customs, beliefs systems, etc. I believe diversity should be valued because everyone or nobody is completely the same as anyone else even with the categories I mention above. A lot of people tend not to accept things that are different from what they have known all their lives.

What is ethnocentrism? In what ways can ethnocentrism be detrimental to a society?
What I think ethnocentrism is the belief in the superiority of one's own ethnic group overriding concern with race. Ethnocentrism is one believeing that they are superior to everyone else. If this continues I believe the world would never get to be a better place and that's detrimental to a society. I personally feel its just not right.

Define emigration and immigration.
Emigration is when people are leaving a country to settle into another country. Immigration is people coming into a new country as a permanent residence. Schaefer (2012) stated “The difference between them are the key factors to making a person or persons want to move.” (p.19)
