Chronic Atrophic Gastritis is the cancer is a bacteria that lives in the mucous lining of the stomach. This disorder is required to have vitamin B12 and the digestion of proteins. If you have this disorder you should stay away from irritants including alcohol, aspirin, and certain foods that irritate the stomach. (Human Diseases Chapter10: A Systemic Approach).
Gastritis means the inflammation and irritation of the stomach that is also caused by chronic vomiting, stress, and the use of anti-inflammatory. If Gastritis is not treated it can lead to severe loss in blood and later causes cancer. Symptoms can include nausea, abdominal bloating, vomiting, ingestion, burning or gnawing feeling in the stomach between meals or at night, hiccups, loss of appetite, vomiting blood or coffee ground-like material, and black; tarry stools. To find a diagnosis for this disease the doctor would have to go through a physical evaluation and also recommend any other tests to rule out what it is and what it could be. Doctors use an instrument called a endoscope which is a tube that goes down in to the mouth then down into the stomach. This instrument checks for inflammation that comes on a monitor that takes pictures of if any problems in the stomach. If the doctor suspects of any inflammation, the doctor will take a biopsy which is taking a sample of tissue to send to the laboratory for analysis (more tests).
