Alzheimer's
Its is probably the best-know cause of dementia, accounting for about two-thirds of cases in the elderly. About 5oo,ooo people in the UK have Alzheimer's
It is a progressive disease that means over time people are less able to complete daily living tasks and need more support in their lives,
Short term memory loss: unable to remember what has just happened or repeating something they have just said.
Misplacing or losing items: unable to recall where they have left something and when it is found they had no idea hey had lost it.
Disorientation:
Forgetting the way home or wanting to go shopping at 3am as no concept of time.

Vascular Dementia
The second most commomcause f Dementia
The early symptoms may be similar to Alzheimer's, but Vascular dementia can have many different symptoms depending on which area of the brain is affected
The first symptoms of vascular dementia usually appear gradually but can show suddenly depending on the cause
The term Vascular refer to the blood vessels that carry blood around the body. The blood in the vascular system carries oxygen to all parts of the body including the brain. In order for the brain to work properly it needs a good supply of oxygen certain conditions can cause damage to the vascular system such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and strokes
Slower thinking process: becoming slower in the way they thing causing every thing they do to be slower

Mood swings: difficulty in finding words or using them inappropriately,
Becoming more emotional changing from happy to tearful or being angry, difficulty in walking or a change in the way they walk.

Lewy Body Dementia (some symptoms similar to Alzheimer's and Parkinsons)
Lewy bodies are protein deposits that lodge in the brain and interrupt the sending of chemical messages in the brain
