Our seven week Summer Internship Programme offers a great opportunity to experience what it is like to work for HSBC
What you’ll do:
You’ll be able to gain invaluable first-hand experience of the work carried out by a renowned international bank.
The programme starts with a thorough induction to help immerse you in our work. Then you'll be given real responsibilities as part of a professional team - with a personal project that adds value to your business area and enables you to explore your skills. It's the sheer variety of what you'll do, achieve and be exposed to over seven weeks that sets our internship apart. Through working with people in these key roles, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and get advice on everything from the technical aspects of their role to your own career development.
Most importantly, you'll see that an internship will really enhance your CV and if you impress you may even be invited back to join the penultimate year scheme.

You’ll be based in one of our branches nationwide (we’ll try to find one convenient to you).
What you’ll need:
Our Internship Programme is open to any undergraduate in their first year of study, in any discipline.
Whichever degree you're currently studying for, we'll expect you to be achieving at 2:1 level or higher, and have 'A' grades in both Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent). You should also have some form of demonstrable customer service experience, either paid or voluntary.
Determination and enthusiasm to learn and achieve are essential qualities that you'll need to demonstrate during the application process, and throughout your internship.
