The title of the article is “Censorship does both harm, good”, the article talks about the positive and negative repercussions of censorship. The author proceeds to explain what he believes are the bad and good ways censorship is used. This article is useful to people who would have concerns with media censorship, or anyone who uses any sort of publication or socialmedia. The student author is not a well known writer, but that is due to the fact that this article is published by on a school website.
Overall the article does a decent job by showing the pros and cons to both sides of censorship. The article describes all different types of censorship form political, moral, film, etc.
All of the different ways censorship can be used is amazing, and the author does touch on multiple ways censorship is used. But, Harishrustic does not touch on the long term effects of the good or bad ways censorship is used. There needed to be more discussion on how the censorship impacts certain media, and what the pros and cons with be with each type of censorship. The article as a whole agrees with other articles on the web because the information is about the same on each site. Articles online have a lot of similarities with weighing more to the side of not allowing censorship. With that, the other articles do see certain situations that censorship would be needed for what people call “the greater good.”
