Life Interview / Young Child

I am a student at the University of Central Florida and am conducting an interview/observation for my class project. The interview project examines development though the lifespan by interviewing three different people of different ages so that I can compare and contrast how development progresses and changes through the lifespan. The observation/interaction project examines child development through my observation/interaction with a young child for a period of 4 hours and a supplemental interview with the child’s caregiver. I can select which option for the project I would like to do and have made that selection by circling the option at the top of this page.
For the Life Interview project, you will be asked to answer demographic questions (age, gender, ethnicity), followed by questions about your physical development and changes, intellectual abilities and experiences, personality and relationships, and feelings about your life. For the Young Child Observation project, I will observe/interact with your child for a 4 hour period and observe the child’s environment, the child’s interaction with the child’s caregiver, and the child’s physical and cognitive development. I will also conduct an interview with the child’s caregiver. For this interview you will be asked to answer demographic questions (age, gender, ethnicity), followed by questions about your perceptions of being a parent and specific questions about your child.
If there are any questions you would rather not answer or that you do not feel comfortable answering, please say so and I will either stop the interview or move on to the next question, which ever you prefer.
