Connecting the Dots If you walk down a busy street most heads are looking downward, and they aren’t looking at their shoes; they’re looking at their phones. With the phones like the iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy 4 people are more connected today than ever. Through networking and social media sites like Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram images and thoughts are being spread “at the speed of data 1 ”. In Rachel Kadish’s “Who Is This Man, and Why Is He Screaming?” she talks about her personal experience with networking. Kadish’s cousin Noam was an ambitious photographer with an idea. He had witnessed himself yawning in the mirror and thought the action would make a good picture. Once done shooting, Noam showed the photo to his friends and posted it on a social media sight known as Flickr. He soon forgot about the photo, but a year later the memory resurfaced. A co-worker who was wondering why he hadn’t mentioned that he had licensed T-shirts with the self-portrait printed onto them. Noam had no idea what she was talking about, and that’s where it began. Later on Noam found out that his photograph of his own screaming face was being used in everything from rock concerts to anti-government protests in Iran. Noam’s situation is a phenomenal example of the effects networking has on a person’s life. A shy boy for Jerusalem who seldom talked had made himself a life, selling merchandise with the dubbed “Stolen Scream 2 ” and his photography business growing at a rapid pace. While the effect of networking had relatively positive ramifications on his life, other instances have proven to have no so positive outcomes. In September of 2013 a dating site in Canada used a picture of Rehteah Parsons in an ad. The site, ionechat.com, used the pictures with the heading “Find Love in Canada.” The only problem, Rehteah was not only an underage high school student but had committed suicide months before the ad was released 3. This picture not only was an illegal use of the picture of the teen but reopened old wounds of her death in her circle of friends and family. Although the site did take the ad down and eventually was shut down, it still caused a good bit of harm. Although networking has negative and positive effects on some people’s lives, others simply don’t
compared it to the ransom note left in the residency of the Doe family. Each of these documents was analyzed based on the 12 traits of handwriting. In this report we specifically analyzed the fancy habits, slashing T’s/dotting I’s and capital letter connection plus the slanting of lettering. This report will clearly state that it was possible to prove that someone wrote the ransom note. The first trait that was analyzed was the fancy curls and loops. This trait tries to explain any unnecessary additions…
CRT monitors use an electron beam that hits phosphor dots inside of a vacuum tube. While it is possible for a CRT monitor to have a digital connection, virtually all CRT monitors connect to the video card using a DB-15 (also called a D-sub) connector. Be aware that the display qualities of your monitor depend on the capabilities of both the monitor and the video card. When choosing a CRT monitor, keep in mind the following considerations. Consideration Description Screen size Screen size is often…
Packet Tracer uses solid lines to represent Ethernet straight-through links. b. Notice the green dots on each side of the straight-through links (next to each PC and next to BranchSwitch). Green dots on both sides of a link indicate the correct cable type was used to inter-connect those devices. Note: There should be green dots at both ends of each cable connection. If you don’t see the green dots navigate to ‘Options > Preferences’ from Packet Tracer menu and check the ‘Show Link Lights’ check…
between the halves is the corpus callosum, a thick band of about 200-250 million nerve fibres that allows the cerebral hemispheres to communicate. In the 1960's a certain type of severe epilepsy was only cured by a major surgery that cut this connection, and in doing so stopped the excess signalling from nerve cells spreading to the opposite hemisphere of the brain. This made it possible for the patients who had previously lived with constant seizures, to live a life almost seizure free, whilst…
initiate the connection on the one with the best signal to my laptop. Most times you have to pay for the service or accept some terms to have the hotspot allow you access to the internet on a device. Part 1b: Describe all the different network connections involved in this operation. Hotspots usually consist of several wireless Access Points (AP) installed inside the airport and/or in adjoining outdoor areas near the airport. In my scenario the APs are shared high-speed Internet connections. These APs…

wandering into 20 million directions. I was wondering what that object could be , can it be something defiant ? So what I thought the painting represented was the battle between something or a person. The person behind the police or authorities ( the black dots) was trying to hard to over come their presence. And I related this a lot to my want to break from certain things in my life, so I guess this correlation with myself brought me closer to this painting. The one paint I wasn’t too found of was located…
