The purpose of this report is to determine who wrote the ransom note in the kidnapping case of Jannet Millibrydney, Case number 04022-13-2344. In order to do this we analyzed any suspect’s and even bystander’s and witnesses’ handwriting and compared it to the ransom note left in the residency of the Doe family. Each of these documents was analyzed based on the 12 traits of handwriting. In this report we specifically analyzed the fancy habits, slashing T’s/dotting I’s and capital letter connection plus the slanting of lettering. This report will clearly state that it was possible to prove that someone wrote the ransom note. The first trait that was analyzed was the fancy curls and loops. This trait tries to explain any unnecessary additions on a letter that we were not originally taught in grade school. For example, some people add an extra tail onto a letter or a large loop underneath letters. Looking at the F in the suspects sample and the F in the crime scene sample there is an extra curl at the bottom half of the letter also there very small loop that forms on the top of the F, as in the example 1. Looking at the Y in the suspects sample and the Y in the crime scene sample there is an extra loop on the tail of the Y plus the beginning line that starts the Y for the most part is straight with the rest of the Y being slanted, as in the example 2. Looking at the B in the suspects sample and the B in the crime scene sample there is an extra loop on the middle leaving the B there is also a large tail coming from the beginning of the letter B, as in the example 3.

The second trait that was analyzed was the dotting of I’s and slashing of T’s and also the slanting of letters. This trait tries to explain the placement of the crosses on the T and placement of the dot on the I. For example, some people cross the T at the top or the center and with I some people put the dot on top or over to the side or even not at all. Looking at the T in the suspects sample and the T in the crime scene sample there is a slight slant to the right for the most part also the tail from the beginning originally starts the slating of the T, as in the example 1. Looking at the T again in the suspects sample and the T in the crime scene sample the slash on the T consistently stays near the center of the T, as in the example 1. Looking at the I in the suspects sample and the I in the crime scene sample the dot doesn’t exist and they rarely dot the I also the beginning of the I starts the whole slant, as in the example 3.

The Third trait that was analyzed was the capital letter connection. This trait tries to explain the fluid motion of the hand from the capital to the lower case letters. For example, some people write the capital and connect it fluidly but some may write the capital, pen lift and then continue writing. Looking at the F in the suspects sample and the F in
