Jesus (the speaker) and Luke (the writer) of The Parable of the Prodigal Son promulgates and communicates throughout the parable with set compassionate and remorseful tones to elucidate the message to us sinners. Tone defines this parable throughout this message so we can see three moral of the story. In Luke 15: 18-19 Jesus through Luke lets us see the repentance of the youngest son that has squandered all of his money as he says, “ Father I have sinned [against heaven], and before thee in thy sight, And am [no more worthy] to be called thy son.” This is an insight of the youngest son feeling highly remorseful and is willing to do whatever it takes to atone his grave sins . One, as in the youngest son, is willing to go above and beyond what he has to do as it quotes “And am [no more worthy] to be called thy son” meaning that he will do anything if it means not being called his fathers son. It teaches that we are always welcome to the Kingdom of God whether we are sinners that have changed. When the father tells the servant “ bring forth the best robe and put in on him…” it shows the sacrifice and effort he has for there youngest son to come and rejoice that has come. We have pity for all those mistakes we have made, but there God seeks us as did the father to the youngest son. In verse 15:24, God has given opportunities to change whether we see it or not.
