CHILDHOOD OBESITY
May 15, 2012

Childhood Obesity Over the past week I have searched tons of sites and watched many videos on childhood obesity. I have narrowed it down by taking notes on the information that shows the best-rounded research. I chose this topic because there seems to be so much discussion around the world about it. I thought it would be interesting to find out more about the views and how the children and their families My argument is where does the blame lie on childhood anorexia or bulimia? Is that a disease that we would blame would the parents. I can agree to that parents are responsible on the obesity side, because they provide the unhealthy foods that are consumed for those children that are over-weight, and I also counter that with a child’s environment and a portion of these issues can directed towards society. Let’s face it, we as a human race can be mean, viscous and judgmental. We are so consumed with physical looks and appearances. Add that times one hundred when it comes to a child’s view and add peer s to that. These are the images that are seen all over television. These are diseases that are often hidden from parents until it’s to a point where depression or serious illness appears and sometimes can end in death for these children. What parent do we know that will argue a child staying thin or what may appear to be fit. These two diseases can be hidden with larger clothing or even makeup. There is no cover up for obesity. No one that is one hundred pounds over-weight
