What did I learn from this course?
Health, safety and nutrition are three of the most important factors to consider when raising a child. In other words, every child should be raised with proper nutrition, good health and safety as possible, allowing him or her to grow with a great well-being. Something that I've learned about this class is that in today’s fast-paced world where the child’s safety and health issues are rapidly growing, more than fifty sites online present health and safety guidelines for the public to consider. These websites given to us has really opened up a door for me to look into my own life as well as my child's development. Another thing I've learned Some of the sites that I used from this course have really been of help in understanding my current knowledge of signs in children as well as adults. It is very important that we keep everyone child and adult's best interest at heart. Knowing that you have helped someone can be very rewarding. The sites have also furthered my understanding in reporting procedures as well. Addressing the child's safety as well as reinforcing some of the things I already knew have also been something I had a keen interest in. My daughter who is 2 is into everything, and the material covered in this course regarding first aid has definitely brought out the safe and cautious parent in me. But, I don't want to stop her from doing everything, otherwise she would probably grow up being scared of the world, and that is something I don't want. I'm glad this course has helped reinforce certain things as a parent I already knew. It's
comforting to know that I have been doing an okay job! What have I done and what will I do with this information? I've already talked about what I have done with this information a little bit in the first section. But, I want to emphasize on it just a little bit. Having gestational diabetes again for the second time scared me. With my first pregnancy my sugars were not good and I gained weight I never thought I would, all because I didn't know how to balance things as far as my eating habits when being pregnant. When
