2. Three Jesus-Values are Love, Kindness, & Social Justice. Love is a deep feeling of Affection and Attachment to something or someone. Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. Social Justice is the Jusice within a society and its applied to the social classes of a Society. Love manifested its way into the film because Dorothy Genuinally loved the poor and wanted to do good things for them. Kindness Manifested its way into the film in the same way because Dorothy cared for the poor & always wanted to make sure that they were being taken care of and she always fed them and let them sleep in her own home. Social Justice Manifested its way into the film because Dorothy wanted to make sure that the poor were not being taken advantage of, and wanted the poor o have the same oppritunies and chances that any normal everyday person would have.
3. Metanoia is the change in one's way of life resulting from penitence or spiritual conversion. In Dorothy Day's Conversion Experience I think that Dorothy had alot of small realizations that was bringing her closer to God and the Church. I think that Dorothy felt that God continued to bless her despite any of the sins she may have made. I think Her love for the Poor was one of the qualities that kept her open to heed the Lord's voice, which also helped her recognize her desire for God.
4. The Scene in the film that was the most Memorable for me was when the first guy in the film that she liked that convinced her to have an abortion ended up showing up to where she lived. I thought this was memorable because to me it was very shocking and suprising to see him come up out of nowhere and try to get her back after he tricked her into having an abortion and leaving her. I think The Message that the Catholic Worker is trying to send the world is that we should love one another and come together as communities and help those in need.

a sizeable catholic minority (36%). German catholics were concentrated in three main areas: Bavaria, the Rhineland and Silesia. In the early years of the German Empire the Prussian ruling class viewed German Catholics with suspicion, believing they took their orders from the Vatican. These suspicions gave rise to the so-called Kulturkampf of the 1870s - a campaign my the government to undermine the influence of the Catholic Church in Germany. Healthcare Act and How it Affects and Pertains to Women of the Catholic Faith The argument of contraception is a controversial topic in the United States. The recent health care bill written by the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama mandates no-cost birth control be available to all women. The Catholic Community condemns the use of contraceptives and finds the new mandate to be impeding to their religious rights. What the Catholic Church's leaders are now seeking from President Obama is…
paying the clergy, which effectively made them employees of the state, and not the Vatican. Clerical offices would now become elected positions which required swearing an oath of loyalty to the constitution.6 The sweeping constitutional reform of the Catholic Church was a devastating political blow to the power structure of the church. The Pope and the Vatican abhorred the proposed changes, and threatened priests with excommunication for swearing allegiance to the new constitution. In an even bigger financial…

become significant until the 1830s. Many of the first emigrants from Ireland came to work upon the Erie Canal and then upon the host of other canal projects started in its wake. They then found work on the railroads. Many, perhaps most, were skilled workers. Often they had migrated first to England where they had acquired experience. Suddenly, in the mid-1840s, the size and nature of Irish immigration changed drastically. The potato blight which destroyed the staple of the Irish diet produced famine…
which religious differences interfere with how an employer’s activities play out. For example, suppose a catholic employer with a particular religious belief/faith requires his employees to read certain passages of the bible out loud during company meetings, he offers paid days off for those employees who attend catholic gatherings, and is committed to helping advance the careers of those workers who adopt the same faith as his. This practice will be restricted if any of that employer’s employees refuse…
