The group are split into two teams and the objective is to keep the ball away from the opponents while on the move inside the grid show. 20 meters

15 meters End-zones are introduced at either end of the grid where they will they will have a designated participant who stays in this area. The team need to complete five passes before they can pass to the end-zone to score a point. Once a point is scored possession is turned over.

Progressive drill A part 2
Participants will find a partner and will share one tennis ball per pair. They will line up opposite each other as shown below and will pass the ball to each other using under arm throws and catching the ball using the English style of catching using the coaching points explained and demonstrated.

Participants will remain in the same organisation as before however the original distance will be increased. A marker will be placed on the floor in between the partners as this will be used as an aiming point. Participants will aim at the marker using an over arm throw using the new coaching points explained and demonstrated at sufficient pace for the participant opposite to be able to catch using the coaching points from the previous exercise.

Feet positioning (shoulder width apart, with knees bent, feet facing forward to give participant a stable base)
Hand positioning (butterfly model)
Bring the ball in to the mid-rift/chest area to maintain control of the ball

Feet positioning (wide stance, front foot facing target, back foot side on)
Arm positioning (throwing elbow should be at or above shoulder level, other arm should be straight out aiming at target)
Trailing leg should follow through after ball
More able participants will be able to increase the distance to challenge themselves
Less able participants may need to start with bean bags instead of tennis balls to aid catching and allow coaching points to be followed.

More able participants may be able to increase the distance they work in and the speed at which they throw the ball.
