Global Warming Global warming the term we use to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and its oceans, it’s believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate. Even though it is an ongoing debate, it is proved by the scientists. Global warming is affecting the nature’s balance and has a huge impact on everyday life, with heat waves, and sudden occurrence of storms and floods.
There are many causes of Global Warming. The destruction and burning down of tropical forests, traffic clogging up the city streets, rapid growth of unplanned industries, the use of CFCs in packaging and manufacturing products, the use of detergents ect. All of these factors play their parts in Global Warming. Next to overpopulation, Deforestation are one of the main causative factors of Global Warming, the construction of mills and factories in an unplanned way has a great effect on the environment, creating dangerous gases like CO2, CH4 and then leaking them into the environment
“Scientific evidence indicates that since 1950, the world’s climate has been warming, primarily as a result of emissions from non -stop burning of fossil fuels and the razing of tropical forests.” Since the industrial revolution till this day, there is a constant emission of the carbon into the atmosphere, everything we do we leave carbon footprints. It is a man-made cause of the global warming. The global emissions jumped 3 percent in 2011, researchers reported. Trees play a significant role in the global carbon cycle; they are the largest land based mechanism for removing carbon dioxide from the air. Deforestation is destroying this positive process; deforestation is responsible for 25% of all carbon emissions. “Planting trees and other plants can slow or stop global warming. Plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. They use carbon to build their own tissues and return some of it to the soil in a process called sequestration. Deforestation of rain forests is a large contributor to global warming and CO2 emissions, but planting new trees, even in your own backyard, can help to offset this.”
The prevailing scientific view is that most of the planets warming since the mid-20th century has been caused by increases in Atmospheric Greenhouse Gas concentrations produced by human activity. Atmospheric Greenhouse Gas or simply Greenhouse Gases are gases in the atmosphere that absorb and emit radiation within the thermal infrared range, and is the fundamental cause of the Greenhouse effect. The effects Global Warming will inflict on humanity are very dangerous for our existence and survival. The sun’s scorching heat comes to earth in a direct way therefore; the earth’s surface becomes seriously heated. Agriculture, forestry and fishery will be seriously damaged. This can catastrophically reduce mankind’s ability to grow food, destroy wildlife. Not to mention the cause Global warming has on sea-water expansion. Global warming is a natural planetary effect the only unnatural thing about it is the speed at which the warming accurse. There are ways to slow the process of Global warming but no way to fully eradicate the damage already done, small ways to save the planet will save our future generations though, Like recycling and supporting companies that use Biodegradable packaging and products. “The production of garbage contributes
