Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) is looking to develop a system to track customer purchases in order to determine their purchasing behavior patterns. They hope to use this information to refine their processes and offerings to best satisfy their valued customers.
It has been determined that the best way to launch this initiative is through the user of a frequent shopper program. Ordinary programs of this sort will not satisfy the sophisticated senses of Kudler's elite customer base, so a decision has been made to partner with a loyalty points program that will provide rewards points to customers that can be used to purchase high-end gifts and upgrades.
System Requirements Gathering
During the initial stage of system development, it is imperative to gather enough information to be able to accurately describe the system requirements. The first step is to determine the scope of the project based upon the objective outlined in the request. The next step would be to identify those that have a vested interest in the resulting system. Once this information is known the project can be divided into smaller units and tasks can be assigned.

The scope of this project is to create a business/systems requirement document for the development of the frequent shopper program system to track the purchases of individual customers.
Stakeholders
There are a number of people that will be impacted by the program and who may want to have a say in how it is developed. The service request was submitted by a manager, so KFF senior management would be considered a primary stakeholder. The entire sales & marketing team needs to know how the program works and how to use its byproducts in order to advance the organization. The people that represent the loyalty points program partner would have insight into the development of this program. There is a good chance they can bring their experience from working with other clients on similar ventures to KFF. They may also need to know how order fulfillment is going to work as well as how the points will equate to goods and services. KFF's customer base may be the largest interest group as they will be interfacing directly with the program and it is their behavior that will be monitored. They may have concerns about privacy and may have thoughts about what they would like to see in terms of rewards.

Operational feasibility will be measured by the degree to which the proposed system will resolve the current issues with the existing system, and the likelihood that the project will achieve the anticipated objectives (Valacich, George, Hoffer, 2012).
The purpose of assessing operational feasibility is to determine how the Information System will fit into the organizations current day-to-day operations.
Issues that may arise are the transition from the old system to the new system. This will require additional training.
Technical Feasibility
Technical feasibility will be analyzed by assessing the development groups knowledge of potential software, hardware, complexity, size of system, operating environment, and their experience with similar systems.
Issues that may arise include lack of knowledge or experience with the new system.
