Your training will involve a mixture of practical experience and study for qualifications in financial planning. If you were a tied adviser with a bank, you would also receive in-house training on the financial products that your bank offers.
As a trainee financial adviser you must take an industry-recognised qualification that meets regulatory standards set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). If you want to be a financial adviser working in the retail investment market you will need to have a Level 4 approved qualification as a minimum.
