The Neolithic Revolution was a turning point in history because it revolutionized agriculture. Farming lead to homes, which then lead to social classes, specialized jobs, and larger populations which started villages. There were now farmers, and people started to domesticate animals. The people could remain in single areas. With staying in one area the could create villages, cities,and city-states. They also could create civilizations and writing. It was easy and hard to live in India with it's geography. It both helped and destroyed it's developmental process. The seasonal monsoons, floods, earthquakes, and droughts made it hard to live there. The monsoons were warm in the summer and cold in the winter. India was blocked in because of the mountains and solidified by the water that surrounded India. The Himalayas kept them surrounded,which kept them safe,from the invaders and other people. But, after some while the Aryans found the Khyper passage way-which were through the Himalayas. There were achievements made by Egyptians, Sumerians, and Phoenicians. The Egyptians invented one of the worlds first writing systems. It was hieroglyphics- images, pictures and symbols. They wrote on papyrus-a water plant. The Egyptians built pyramids. They were made out of mostly limestone and granite,but they also had mud and sand to help. They were built for when the Pharaoh died. They were buried there and had gold and money and other valuable things for when the Pharaoh was sent to the after life. The Sumerians were smart. They had cuneiform for their writing system. They were the first to build wheeled vehicles-carts and wagons. They invented the potters wheel which made bowls, pots etc. They had the ox-drawn plow and they greatly improved farm production. The Sumerians built these huge like pyramids called ziggurats. They were huge and were zigzag They had bronze which made strong tools and weapons. They built sewers under city streets. The clocks and calender we use today are from Sumerian methods of measuring time. The Phoenicians invented the alphabet and ships. They had city-states and were among the greatest traders of their times. There is not really a founder of Judaism. Judaism has no one person as its founder. However, biblical tradition says that Abraham was the first to worship one God. Judaisms only believe in one God. Their scared text is the Tanakh aka the Hebrew bible. The first five books of the Torah is the teaching of Judaism. The five teachings are about justice, equality before the law, loving-kindness, social welfare, and political freedom. There is no single founder of Hinduism. The sacred text of Hinduism is Vedas. There are four parts of Vedas: the Rig Vedas, the Sama Vedas, the Yajur Vedas, and the Atharua. The major teachings of Hinduism are Dharma and Samsra. Dharma is individual ethics, duties and obligations. The founder of Buddhism is Siddhartha Gautama. He lived a hard life growing up. There are three sacred texts of Buddhism: Tripitaka, Mahayana Sutras, and the Tibetan Book of the Dead. The major teachings are Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold path, and the Precepts. In these teachings are no selfless, ethics, karma, rebirth, enlightenment, and Nirvana.
