Balancing My Budget After comparing my monthly expenditures to my monthly income, I would say that it looked overall well-balanced out. I have a job that gave me a monthly income of approximately $3000. After computing my monthly expenses, the result came to be about $695 per week, which is around $2780 per month. Since my monthly income is greater than my monthly expenditures, I think that I am doing pretty well right now. Though, after looking through each of my individual expenses, I would also like to make some few changes to increase my effectiveness of how I spend and plan my finances. First, I can start by taking away my organization dues. Nowadays, I hardly have time to attend my organization (Asian Student Organization) because of college. So if I take that out, I would save $20 per month. Also, I would like to take out $40 spending on clothing per month. I currently have plenty of clothes to choose from. So I should be fine for now. I will only spend money on clothing when in need. Next, I can take out all the $20 expenses on barber shop, because I can just ask my aunt, who is a hair stylist, to cut my hair for free instead. Last, I would like to cut back on buying weekly newspapers. I can just use the internet or cable for weekly news. By doing that, it would decrease that monthly expenses from $40 to $20.
