1The heat was tremendous. And I felt like my body was burning all over. For my burning body the cold water of the river was as precious as the treasure. Then I left the river, and I walked along the railroad tracks in the direction of my home. On the way, I ran into another friend of mine, Tokujiro Hatta. I wondered why the soles of his feet were badly burnt. It was unthinkable to get burned there. But it was undeniable fact the soles were peeling and red muscle was exposed. Even I myself was terribly burnt, I could not go home ignoring him. I made him crawl using his arms and knees. Next, I made him stand on his heels and I supported him. We walked heading toward my home repeating the two methods. When we were resting because we were so exhausted, I found my grandfather's brother and his wife, in other words, great uncle and great aunt, coming toward us. That was quite coincidence. As you know, we have a proverb about meeting Buddha in Hell. My encounter with my relatives at that time was just like that. They seem to be the Buddha to me wandering in the living hell.
2It was august 1945 and the Second World War was in full swing between America and japan. The Japanese and American military were losing hundreds of men and resources each day both sides were suffering tremendously and something needed to happen America needed a solution or a secret weapon. The American soldiers were fighting a fierce and brutal enemy who didn’t go down without a fight. These enemies were the highly trained imperial Japanese army who were completely loyal to the emperor Michinomiya Hirohito and would sacrifice their lives for him at a moment’s notice, with ease, most soldiers thought he was a God. The Battle of Okinawa was one of the main battles fought before the dropping of the atomic bomb in which there were many close quarter combat situation, most of the imperial Japanese army were well trained in hand to hand fighting or using their own samurai which 3they carried on them at all times, if a Japanese soldier was hurt or injured bad enough not to be able to escape they would put a grenade under their back so when an American soldier came to see if they were still alive they would roll them over and both be killed by the grenade they would rather die than be captured as a prisoner of war. The United States was struggling to overcome the Japanese imperial army was slowly losing hope that they could. So far they united states had tried many different tactics to defeat the Japanese but most of them had failed miserably and were not used again meanwhile in 4Trinity Site near Alamogordo, New Mexico, scientists of the Manhattan Project prepared themselves to watch the detonation of the world's first atomic bomb which almost 10,000 pounds and was 10 feet tall and 7 feet in width. America needed a secret weapon and they had found one although it took over 70 days to build it was capable of winning the war and more importantly ending the war once and for all but this bomb would come at a great expense because it was no ordinary bomb this bomb was full of 5radiation which was the worst type of bomb because of the suffering it caused if you were exposed to it and the awful pollution it created when it detonated on fertile land. The atomic bombs that were dropped on japan were a cruel and inhumane decision because all of the people who died and all the land that was ruined for many years after.
America should have thought twice about the horrible consequences and suffering that would be caused from the atomic bombs on the Japanese population who lived in both Nagasaki and Hiroshima when this huge 10,000 pound bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 6It killed a total of 78,000 people in Hiroshima and 35,000 people in Nagasaki. At that time the population of Hiroshima was 320,000 people and the population of Nagasaki was 260,000 people but of course this didn’t matter as long as the war ended or this wasn’t written in the paper or even told to

Hiroshima Research Essay: “Was the dropping of the bomb on Japan Justified” It is clear that the atomic bombing of Hiroshima was justified; there are many reasons for this. Prior to the bombing several options had been taken by the Americans to end World War II; however, all of them failed miserably. The actions taken were diplomacy, a naval blockade, conventional bombing and attempted land invasions. The Emperor and his government could not be persuaded to surrender despite the actions, over…
In early August 1945 atomic bombs were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These two bombs quickly yielded the surrender of Japan and the end of American involvement in World War II. By 1946 the two bombs caused the death of perhaps as many as 240,000 Japanese citizens1. The popular, or traditional, view that dominated the 1950s and 60s put forth by President Harry Truman and Secretary of War Henry Stimson was that the dropping of the bomb was a diplomatic maneuver aimed…
touched my emotions. When I was reading about the child trying to put water into her dead mother's mouth, I could picture it in my head, and I couldn't believe it. The horror, terror, and lessons of the Atomic Bomb are never ending, but what Justifies it is beyond me. Many would say that the A-Bomb was the absolute solution to ending the war with the Japanese. The Japanese were a courageous and formidable opponent and even thought surrender would have been unlikely they knew that victory was no longer…

States, but instead, surprise attacked and killed thousands of U.S. Servicemen, as well as citizens. The United States viewed this as a major offense, and insisted on fighting fire with fire, literally. Seen as the final standings of World War II, the United States created an atomic bomb to wipe out the towns of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. Relating back to my previous stated opinions, this seemed as a disaster for US citizens in that era, but came as a learning experience for citizens of…
