Task 15.1: What is meant by duty of care in your work role.
Duty of care means how to deal with the child without harming or neglecting them by respect their right, in our context the other is the vulnerable child and how we can respect their decisions and choices as practitioner, and its important and make sure that we preventing them to harm themselves.
In our setting we have a bunch to put the toys in, some children use it to jump on, at the beginning it was a hazard so we have managed to put a carpet under it so when they wanted to jump they will be safe without harming themselves. Another point is as practitioner we need to take care of children so they cannot jump on the bunch but they can and have right to use and explore the resources they to.
The second point of duty of care if confidentiality, some information must confidential, in our setting some parents didn’t want their children to be photographed and published in the media for their confidentiality, as practitioner we accepted their right and their choices, sometimes we take risks in our everyday practice we need to look first at the benefit of the child how to make the day safe and challenging for him.

Task 15.2: How does duty of care contribute to the safeguarding or protection of individuals.
As we know the child depend of the adult to care about him in the way of protecting them from danger and every hazard whether is a physical harm or psychological one.
In our setting in the school we do that in different and various ways:
Carrying daily risk assessment and looking for potential hazards to prevent the harm of the child in and out. The daily routines and challenges for the child so the children are not bored and start to use bad choices and disturbing the others in the setting.
Observing the child’s development and look for any sign that the child is not developing in the expected rate. Be aware if the child is abused in any way and take the appropriate steps if you suspect he is been abused, another major thing is protecting yourself to be accused so the first thing to do is read the policies of the setting or school carefully and try not to be in the child in closed place, try to keep your personal views out of your professional once.

Task 15.3: What are the potential conflicts or dilemmas that may arise between the duty of care and an individual’s rights.
The conflicts that we can have in our practice may seem difficult to deal with sometimes but we should be able to solve them in the appropriate solution taking the right and the safety of the child at first so we must be update with policies and the child rights and parents rights, so if the parents have a different opinion than ours try to take his opinion and discuss it with the staff and parent and do what is best for the child with the consent of the parent or it could be with a member of a staff the best way is discussion and try to be professional without judging and having the idea of the others.
Task 15.4: How would you manage the risks associated with conflicts or dilemmas between an individuals right the duty of care.
Managing risks so the policies are viewed in a regular basis so you must be inclusive so all the children have the right to equal opportunities to play and learn without excluding or discriminating any one, also maintain some boundaries and expectations to follow in the setting.

Task 15.5: Where could you get additional support and advice about conflicts or dilemmas. So in case of conflicts we may seek help from a member of staff or the managers and in worst case we can ask for external help. We need to record all the information, and give them to the manager, if something happen to the children their parents won’t be happy and think we didn’t look after their children and protect them that is a dilemmas so we need to
