The “40 Boards” Bowling Club
VAN SPRUILL SR. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The “40 Boards” Bowling Club was established in 2004. The Club’s purpose is to award Scholarships (valued up to $500) to graduating high school seniors accepted to an accredited college or university.

Application Process

1 The Scholarship chairperson will provide applications to the local high schools which will be submitted to qualified seniors and/or their parents. Applications can also be downloaded from www.40boards.org.

2 Eligibility is restricted to graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning.

3 The following info along with the application must be submitted in order to be considered for a scholarship award: A. High School Transcript B. Letter of Recommendation from school official

4 The deadline for completed application, transcripts and letter of recommendation is midnight, March 28, 2014.

5 The Scholarship Committee will evaluate all applications in the following areas: A. Prompt Return of Application B. Neatness C. Grade Point Average D. Letter of Recommendation E. Essay 6 Scholarship winners and parents will notified by mail. Awards will be presented at Colony Lanes in the April 25, 2014. Scholarship winners and/or parent(s) must be present to receive award.
