Anthem

Chapter one

1. I would not really want to live in the society of Anthem, because I couldn’t show my individualism, love and compation. In that type of society I wouldn’t be able to show my gifts and favorite hobbies.
2. The life expectancy is so short because, after forty they become useless so they don’t waste medical supplies on them. After forty five they only live until they get a disease and die of natural causes.
3. It was condemned because, they were told to think each other as brothers not friends, because friends are keeping some people out and they thought each other as we.
4. He is different because he thinks of science and is curious and and thinks individually and ignores the consequence’s.
5. He was assigned to street sweeper because he broke laws and they knew he was too curious and the fact that he wanted to go to school.
6. I think it took place in the future after a world epidemic and where forced to live in a communist country.
7. They would probably tell the council and get me to do something really hard to punish me for being born with curiosity. He also has a quick mind.
8. Because he thinks alone and he has the potential to go against the council.
9. He mostly ignores the teachings and makes his own beliefs but some teachings are good for him and others are ridiculous. He doesn’t feel anything when committing a crime because he knows it’s helping himself.
10. Yes because he is very strong and courageous and he would stick up for friends and be a loving person.
Chapter two
1. The traits are that Equality shows compation and love towards liberty.
2. In one way is that they use we instead of I, another is that they can’t think or do anything alone and the last is that they aren’t not allowed to show any individuality.
3. He is different in every way including individualism and thinks quicker he also feels emotions that others don’t.
