Entry #1 Equality: 11/26
Saying that “all men are created equal” is a true statement. When people are born they are born with the same equal opportunities as everyone else, but what they chose to do with their life affects how the opportunities in it change. Granted there are things that happen in life that you just can’t control such as health issues, disabilities, and the environment that someone is raised in. There isn’t one person that is better than the next one. The only thing that really sets people back in life is how much they are willing to work for the things that they want and the places that they want to go to in life. Just because someone isn’t raised in the best living conditions doesn’t mean that they aren’t willing to work as hard as another person who was raised in the ideal living conditions. Everyone is equal they just need to work for what they want and for the things they want to do or become.
Entry #2 Leadership: 11/26
A good leader is made up of a lot of different things. They need to have ambition and drive. Without ambition and drive they won’t have any motivation to do anything or get anything done. A leader needs to have a purpose because without a purpose they wouldn’t be a leader they would just be a normal person. Not anyone can be a leader it takes a special type of someone. A leader needs to have strong opinions but also be open to new ideas. Leaders with no opinion will settle with anything and leaders with too strong of opinions won’t be open to other possibilities. A good leader needs to have good morals and ethics because if they don’t then they will lead the people who follow them down the wrong paths. A good leader in my opinion would be myself. I don’t follow anyone but myself because if I don’t want to do something then I’m not going to do it. All of my middle school teachers told me that I have all the characteristics it takes to make up a good leader, so why follow someone else when I am already on the right path.
Entry #3 Power: 11/27
Power to me is having the influence on people to get things to change. Anyone can have good or bad power. Good or positive power is when the people with the power influence or get other people to do good things. An example of good power would be getting people to recycle or to be drug free; the people who represent these things are usually celebrities who possess the power to get things to change. Bad or negative power would be like Hitler or Joseph Kony; these people used

ANIMAL FARM ESSAY By: Sarah Carlton Animal Farm written by George Orwell described the Russian Revolution in a different form by replacing the characters with animals, it gave the readers a warning of power corruption, equality and ignorance. It seems that whenever a leader mistreats his people, a rebellion could happen at any moment. Rebellion can be a positive thing, but it also shows that a community is unstable and the power of control could easily fall into the wrong hands. Equality…
I am reading George Orwell's Animal farm. The entire book stands for and represents the russian revolution. During the russian revolution the last emperor Tsar Nicholas the second was overthrown and Joseph Stalin rose to power. The book is a perfect portrayal of the revolution at which these events took place. I believe that his purpose for writing this book was to give people a different perspective on the Russian revolution and what happened. Giving the animals qualities and characteristics that matched up with important people during…
Book Report 03AUGUST2014 Animal Farm is at first glance a fable with a goofy plot and fun animal characters but once you look deeper it shows itself as a satire on Soviet Communism. It was written by George Orwell in 1945 at the end of World War II. I chose this book as my favorite because even though I was forced to read it in school I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed reading it as an easier way to understand the way Communism was working in Russia and how Stalin abused his power rather than…
