The world was shocked when the story of the astonishing events that occurred in an animal farm in England were brought to light. Apparently, after much neglect and abuse, the animals had had enough and decided to overthrow its abusing owners. Last week, a group of pigs, horses, cows, chickens, dogs, and other farm animals reached their limit and while the farmers were whipping them they started fighting back until the farmers were ran off the property. At first, the animals had no choice but to take the neglect from the farmers. The owner, Mr. Jones, had stumbled into bed drunk and forgot to secure the barn and check the animals. That is when the animals starting contemplating about taking charge of the farm. Lead by the wise boar, Old Major, they talked about how they were born into this world as slaves and how the farmers take their eggs and milk and leave nothing in return. The argument got heated when they discussed how they will live short and miserable lives and they believed that without the humans they will be happy, well-fed, and free. The rebellion shocked even the animals, it came quick and unexpected. One day drunken Mr. Jones forgot to feed the animals, they couldn’t endure their hunger any longer, so the cows broke into the shed and the animals began to feast. Mr. Jones and the men were outraged when they learned about what took place and started whipping the cows. Driven to anger the animals fought back and chased the men off the farm. The animals were stunned at what they just did and began to sing “Beasts of England.” The pigs revealed that they learned how to read and so they changed the sign in the front from “manor farm” to “animal farm.” The pigs, Napoleon, Squealer, and Snowball, being the brains of the farm came up with the 7 Commandments of Animalism and took control of the farm, having power over all the other animals. The 7 commandments are:
1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or had wings, is a friend.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
4. No animal shall sleep in a
