Personality Test Others have always portrayed myself as one to have a “strong personality,” so what does that really mean? Some traits that comes to mind when describing me is, stubborn extroverted, and adventurous. So how do these different characteristics come into play when describing my exact personality type? This is why I decided to take a more serious test to find out if I truly were the personality I would expect myself to be.
I took a personality test that fits in with the Carl Jung theme and the traits with the five factor models. At the end of the test it rates me in each category I fit into and my strengths and my personality type. As we talked about in class Carl Jung believed that it was more spiritual than sexual and how we come together as one with certain stuff such as religion/god/magic. Also we talked about traits with two key themes; displaying consistency in their actions, thoughts, and feelings and people differ from each other in many ways. There are five factor models that we talked about were extraversion, neuroticism, agreeable, conscientiousness, and openness to experiences.
With this test it rates me in each category if it is my strength or weakness. For an example; being agreeable is one of the groups and if you are considered more of a strength then you are leaned more towards compassionate and warm, rather than none agreeable/hostile.

The types of questions that are asked are different scenarios and you either agree with it or you don’t. So in this case it’s either yes or no questionnaire. I think the weakness with this test is that it is a yes or no type of test. With some questions for an example they ask: “ You are almost never late for your appointments” I would consider myself equally late and early to certain things. So it’s hard to choose a yes or no as my answer. But a test like this could really help someone with pointing out what their strengths are and how to use it to their advantage. A lot of people take personality test like these to see what kind of career would fit best for them, and how they could succeed in something that they would be good at. The test does measure what it claims to say it measure by seeing how you act with different scenario. But the test I would say is not as credible as it makes it out to be. No test that’s yes or no answer quiz is exactly on the dot of what kind of personality you have. If the test was a fill in the blank quiz with your own personal answers, I feel it would give you a more accurate result to the test. Not one size fits all. Everyone is different in his or her own way, so by only have a yes or no questioned test, it limits you to answering at your best ability. Also along with when you get your results they don’t necessarily explain to you what each category means and then explain to you where you exactly fit into in each one. So to be able to exactly understand this test and the results you get from it you need to know some background on the five categories that you fit into, and strengths and weakness.
