Airbus is one of the well known and reputable commercial jetliners and military airlifters manufacturer with a track record of more than 40 years with significant contribution in the aviation industry which involves innovation, technological firsts and industry milestones. Airbus is the consortium founded to compete with the American aircraft manufactures. Is a government initiative between France , Germany and the UK in 1960s.In 2001 consortium is merged as European aeronautic defence company called EADS. About 626 aircraft was delivered in 2013 and cost of £59.3 billion revenues. The first aircraft was launched under the airbus brand was the A300.At the beginning it wasn't very successful at the time but it was slowly picking up with its modernized versions. In January 2010 ,airbus handed over its 6,000th aircrafts. Fabrice Bregier was appointed as a president and CEO of Airbus on1st June 2012 , succeeding Tom Enders was appointed as a CEO of EADS. Most impressively, the company has been able to reduce the percentage of sales devoted to selling, general and administrative costs from 5.08% to 4.92%. This was a driver that led to a bottom line growth from €1.2B EUR to €1.5B EUR
