Have you ever been in a life or death situation? Many babies are in life-threatening situations everyday. The only difference is that we can fight for our lives and do whatever we can possibly do to survive, while babies cannot make that choice on their own. An abortion is the medical process of ending a pregnancy so it does not result in the birth of a baby. It is also known as a “termination” or a “termination pregnancy”. Depending on how many weeks you’ve been pregnant, the pregnancy is either ended by either taking medications or having a surgical procedure. An abortion is not the same thing as a miscarriage, where the pregnancy ends without medical intervention.

Supporters of abortion and early activists seeking abortion law reform used controversy designed people that abortion would be a good decision for women in particular, and society as a whole. Abortion was known to give power to women, free them from child care and house work, and give them a chance to achieve a job at an equal place with men in the workforce. Several years later many women are wondering when this freedom, power and equal opportunity is going to bring a positive impact on their lives. Women are shown to be losers and the men are shown to be a winner after the women has an abortion. In the 1960s the birth control pill came out as a way in which women could be equal with men, having all the pleasure of sex they ever wanted without having any consequences behind it. One expected early side-effect of “The Pill” was that some women died. Researchers found that lowering the dose of oestrogen and progesterone reduced the risk of deep-vein blood clots that gave rise to pulmonary-embolisms. The lower-dose pill meant there were a number of ‘break-through’ operations each year, and regardless of the Pill working to alter the lining of the womb some of the embryos attached and thrived. Men who wanted sex without any necessities forced women to have an abortion because although they thought it was after all safe and legal.
