This essay is about the Abortion debates. I choose to write about this because of my personal views. The Abortion debate is one of the biggest debates in the United States. Many topics come up in the Abortion debates from both sides. I have 6 Points from both sides of the issue. The first point I would like to talk about is when is the fetus considered to be a human life? Pro-life thinks that life begins at conception, so abortion is akin to murder as it is to the act of taking a human life. Now the Pro-choice argues that most abortions take place in the first trimester of pregnancy when a fetus cannot exist independently. Both of the side is very strong points but I think Pro-choice has the stronger point. I think the law doesn’t allow Women’s rights and complete control of their body is the last issue I want to talk about. This may possibly be the biggest issue in this whole debate. Pro-life says for women that want complete control of their body, control should include the prevention of an unwanted pregnancy through the responsible use of contraceptive. Pro-choice thinks that the ability to have complete control of her body is critical for civil rights. They think if you take away her reproductive choice you’re stepping onto a slippery slope. If the government can force a woman to continue a pregnancy, why not force contraceptives. Pro-life has the stronger point here. Complete control should also include use protection or contraceptives to ensure you do not get pregnant if you don’t want to. There are many points in this ongoing debate that I did not cover. These are some of the main and most talked about points. The two sides are very comparable and very arguable. There is common ground in this debate. Should abortion be allowed if the mother’s life is in danger? Both sides can agree on saving the life of the mother. Should abortion be allowed in the third trimester? Both sides can agree that it should be illegal to have an abortion in the third trimester. Should minors have parental consent before getting an abortion? Again, both sides can agree on this. So as you see there are many great points in this debate from both sides. Pro-life people are
In this paper I will discuss the great moral dilemma of committing an abortion. This issue of whether having an abortion is morally justified has been very controversial to many people for a long time, and still continues to be one today. As a context to this argument we are given a story of Mrs. Adams and her husband who decided to have an abortion after a contraceptive method went wrong. After forgetting to take her contraceptive pill one night Mrs. Adams ends up getting pregnant, and because…

Abortion A. Jonathan Glover, in his article Matters of Life and Death casts dispersions on both pro-abortion and anti-abortion debates citing them as too knee-jerk emotional reactions diminishing the inherent complexity of the other side (1. Glover comprehensively addresses the key points of both sides of the abortion debate and evaluates their inherent virtues, especially for those who hold these opinions, then methodically points out its flaws.
