CERTIFICATE OF ENROLMENT
This is your Certificate of Enrolment. Please print this certificate, or if you do not have a printer, please make a note of the Certificate number and bring this information to the University with you.
Please note that you will need to bring your Certificate of Enrolment (or the Certificate number) with you when you collect your University card. Your University Card gives you access to the Library and to certain buildings around campus. Your Certificate of Enrolment will be displayed via Start.Warwick until the week after your course begins, and can be printed out again at any point during this period. Please note that although your Certificate will only be displayed for a short period of time, your enrolment is valid for the entire academic year.
In addition to your Certificate of Enrolment and in order for you to complete your enrolment with the University, you are also required to provide a suitable form of identification and, if you require immigration permission to study in the UK, your valid passport and visa documentation as evidence of your right to do so:
• If you require immigration permission to study in the UK, you must provide your valid visa documentation as your form of identification. Please note that a copy of your visa and passport will be taken at the point of University card issue. If (due to a pending visa application) your passport is with the Home Office UK Visas and Immigration (formerly known as the UK Border Agency or UKBA) at this time, you are required to provide your letter of acknowledgement. This letter is normally provided to you by the Home Office within 2-3 days of their receipt of your visa application. You will also need to provide evidence that you held a valid visa at the time of submitting the application. The evidence could be a photocopy of your most recent visa plus evidence of the date you submitted your application (e.g. Special Delivery Receipt), or a UK Home Office acknowledgement letter that is dated before the expiry date of your most recent visa.
• Please note if you hold a Tier 4 visa, your sponsor must be the University of Warwick. If you used a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) issued by another institution to obtain your Tier 4 visa, we will only be able to complete your enrolment and issue your University card if you can provide the relevant proof of contact with the Home Office UK Visas and Immigration (formerly known as the UK Border Agency or UKBA), which depends on when you last applied for entry clearance/leave to remain as below.
• Students whose current entry clearance or leave to remain was granted on the basis of an immigration application submitted BEFORE 5 October 2009: You must show proof of having contacted the Home Office UK Visas and Immigration (formerly known as the UK Border Agency or UKBA) to request permission to change institution either by email before the 21 April 2011 or by making a paid application on or after 21 April 2011. Acceptable proof will be an email print out or an acknowledgement letter from the Home Office following your application. OR• Students whose current entry clearance or leave to remain was granted on the basis of an immigration application submitted AFTER 5 October 2009: You must show proof that you have submitted a Tier 4 application for new leave to remain to study at Warwick. Please note that the immigration rules require students to submit this application before their current leave expires. Acceptable proof will be an acknowledgement letter from the Home Office UK Visas and Immigration (formerly known as the UK Border Agency or UKBA) following your application. You will also need to provide evidence that you held a valid visa at the time of submitting the application. The evidence could be a photocopy of your most recent visa plus evidence of the date you submitted your application (e.g. Special Delivery Receipt), or a UK Home Office acknowledgement letter that is dated before
