Case Study 1

1) In this study, there were 25 universities in Asia with MBA programs. The 25 universities are the sample, and all the universities within Asia with MBA programs are the population. Each university is an element, and for each element there are different parameters such as full time enrollment, student per faculty, tuition for local students, tuition for foreign students, average age of the students, percentage of foreign students, GMAT or English tests or work experience and average starting salaries.

The scale for each variable:
Full time enrollment: Ratio
Student per faculty: Ratio
Local tuition: Ratio
Foreign tuition: Ratio
Age: Ratio
Percentage foreign: Ratio
GMAT: Nominal
English: Nominal
Work Experience: Nominal
Starting Salary: Ratio

It’s an observational study since there is no treatment on sample. This data wasn't measured typically at successive times spaced at uniform time intervals so it is cross sectional data.

3. The highest coefficient of variation is observed at %foreign, so it has the highest variability
Mean is the arithmetic average of the data. The average tuition for foreign students is 16582, the average age is 28, and the average percentage of foreign students is 28
Median is the term at the middle. Standard deviation is used to measure the variability in the data, while coefficient of variation is the ratio of st deviation to the mean, and is used to measure the relative variability. As the coefficient of variation increases, the variable gets more variable.
75 percentile is the value which is larger than 75% of all observations. For example, An university with $22500 foreign tuition is more expensive than 75% of other universities in the list in terms of foreign tuition. While the data for age and
