Every summer, the company brings on hundreds of MBA students, many of whom later become full time Googlers. In the past two years, Google has doubled the number of schools from which it recruits.
What they're looking for: Ideal employees have skills that easily transfer to fields where they may have little or no experience. Says Ewing: "MBA hires never fail to impress with their extensive leadership backgrounds and comfort with ambiguity; two traits that are critical to every Googler's success."

The world's most valuable company aims to continually be at the forefront of design and technology. This year, the global brand is aiming to keep that up with the launch of the widely hyped Apple Watch and a new music streaming service. "We're perfectionists," Apple's career site claims. "Idealists. Inventers. Forever tinkering with products and processes, always on the lookout for better."
The company recently revamped its benefits package, expanding parental leave and offering subsidized student loan packages.
What they're looking for: The company prizes diversity among its 100,000 employees, and it looks for folks with a passion for technology and the Apple brand. Apple (AAPL,Tech30) is looking for MBAs to join its marketing, operations, sales, and Internet software and services teams. Hiring is up: In its last fiscal year, the company added nearly 9,000 non-retail jobs.

In addition to the skills gained working at McKinsey, employees become part of a 30,000-person alumni network -- including big name former employees like Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman -- spanning dozens of industries across the globe. "A McKinsey network can be the best career tool a person can have," says director of global recruiting, Brian Rolfes.
What they're looking for: Hiring managers are looking for workers with the ability to solve problems and work with a team as well as proven leadership experience, Rolfes says. "An entrepreneurial spirit is a huge positive for candidates and a common part of McKinsey's culture."

What they look for: Disney wants MBAs with a passion for their business, but also for the company's brands, whether you're an ESPN-loving sports fanatic or a Star Wars junkie.
Military experience is also a big plus for Disney's recruiters. Since 2004, the company's "Heroes Work Here" initiative has aimed to hire more veterans.
