According to the Gujarat Maritime Board, there were approximate 230 workers who have died at Alang, the reputation ship-breaking yard in India. The Bangladeshi media announced that over 400 workers have killed and 6000 seriously injured which were data that have been reported over the last 20 years in the shipbreaking industry. Working in the ship breaking yards is an extremely dangerous job, which involves a lot of serious injuries and even death in this industry in South Asia: India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh in every year. Despite perceived dangerous, why people still have worked in the ship breaking yards. The obvious reason to explain the question is people have lived in misery. People do not have any choices

Cheap labor and poor working standard existed in ship breaking yards in India and Bangladesh. However, ship-breaking industry in America is totally opposite subject including labor costs, environmental standards, and safety regulations. Workers were breaking the ship conscientiously and carefully because the safety is a highly concern: “the Patterson that was being meticulously dismantled by a crew of fifty four specialists.” They also worked in a safe and clean environment: “space-suited workers, positive-pressure filtered ventilation, sealed hazardous-materials bins, color-coded placards, and micron socks hanging from the scuppers to purify the rainwater.” The reason makes the difference of ship breaking industry between India an America is India is developing
