Paragraph- A paragraph is a series of sentences that are organized and related to a single topic. There are three parts to a paragraph. The topic sentence is usually found at the beginning of the paragraph. The topic sentence captures the main idea of the paragraph. The second part of a paragraph is the body of the paragraph, the supporting sentences. The sentences in the body of the paragraph provide details to support the topic. The last sentence in the paragraph is the concluding sentence which summarizes the paragraph.
- Topic sentence: A sentence that expresses the main idea of the paragraph in which it occurs.
-Detail Sentence: A detailed sentence is a sentence that has complete detail, so that when someone reads the sentence, they understand what your sentence is explaining or talking about.
-Supporting Sentence: A sentence that supports the idea, it focuses on 2 things how and why.
- Conclusion Sentence: A Concluding Sentence is the last sentence of a paragraph(s), it summarizes everything that you just wrote about and it is somewhat like your Introduction Sentence.
Conventions
Capitalization- using a capitol letter for any name place etc.
Punctuation- are things like commas, periods, question marks etc.
Commas- you can use commas to separate things, usually when you can end the sentence with a periode you can use a comma when you want to add a because to make your sentence have that "why".
Periods- To end a sentence also known as to end the idea of a sentence.
Complete Sentence
-subject: The subject of a sentence is the person, place, thing, or idea that is doing or being something.
-predicate: The predicate is the part of the sentence that makes a statement about the subject. The main part of the predicate is the verb.
-prefix
Noun:
A word, letter, or number placed before another.
Verb:
Add (something) at the beginning as a prefix or introduction.
-base: is the base of the word it is a work on its own without a suffix or prefix
suffix- A word, letter, or number placed after another.
A Noun is a Person, Place, or Thing.
Ex: Billy, Paris, Desk. etc.
