Civil War/Revolution is Dangerous

In A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah describes a lot of controversial situations or problems like for example during the story it’s like a civil war/revolution going on. There’s rebels going around villages terrorizing the families that lives there. The rebels are a wide variety from kids to grown adults taught to destroy or capture families and put them in a boot camp. They are terrorizing the villages, killing people, abusing the women, and taking whatever they want. ”Saidu sat in the attic, holding his breath and listening to the wailing of his sisters as the rebels raped them”. It’s affecting the women, kids are traumatized and left lonely, and people are afraid for their lives and family members. “Blood running down her dress and dripping behind her, making a trail. Her child been shot dead as she ran for life”, as seen by Ishmael after an attack by the rebels. A rebel explains to me how their going to make every village into a community with one ruler and lots of rules to go by. He explains that if they don’t want to be in their society they must rather wanna die. They will take and destroy anything to make their ruler happy and kingdom happen. They have sex with any
