Martin Judd 48 years of age is Husband to Sarah Judd and father of Angela Judd. Throughout the book the character Martin is constructed to be sarcastic, dramatic, sensitive and wimpy.
From my findings, Martin is someone who lives in the moment. He is also constructed to be quite ‘old school’. For example Martin’s wife Sarah wishes he would admit to his father he had the courage to seek help. He replies with “I don’t want to talk about it”.
Martin obviously doesn’t want Sarah’s father to know, because he fears he may get judged for asking for help, because a man is meant to be strong and soldier through difficult times, it is considered unmanly to seek help.
This is where Martin’s values and attitudes start to show through. Other traits such as stubbornness and sensitivity also show through clearly. When Martin and Sarah have a disagreement about how “men need women but women don’t need men”, he reacts with “excuse me while I slip out and kill myself”. In this situation Martin didn’t stand up for himself.
This reaction is also quite dramatic, displaying his high sarcasm and sensitivity. Martin is being constructed as a wimp; he doesn’t stand up for himself and takes things very personally. Martin is characterized as a wimp, old school, sarcastic, dramatic, and lacks with self-respect.
- think he's a wimp
-others say he's a wimp believes that men should be strong
-(excuse me while i slip out and kill myself) -sarcastic -dramatic
-(no im a certified wimp) P7 -
Back when I was in middle school, someone showed me a video about china. They said that China has such a high population that, if you are told that you are one in a million in china, there may be as many as thirteen thousand other people just like you. this got my attention to say the least. They continued to say that the top two percent of the smartest kids in school in China was equal to the number of students total in America . China is huge and they are only getting bigger. We see this everyday…

LEFT!!!! (Liberal) Well, you are right in a sense. It's not over yet. But it appears to me that this "good cop-bad cop" sort of situation allows for a non-violent outcome by giving Assad an option (dealing with Russia instead of the US) while Obama keeps the pressure on by continuing to ask Congress and the American people for a military strike. The other countries in the Middle East may accept Russia's intervention better than ours, and although Obama has to take a huge hit politically for pushing…

Example of Field Notes: Dr. Noel Chrisman I arrived about 6:15 (it started at 6). Denise was at the entry to the parking lot. She was keeping people out because there had been an altercation over a fender bender. We did not talk about her pending departure. Once inside, I looked at the whole gym. It was full of tables and families. Most were Latino. There were three singers in the corner that leads out to the parking lot. They sang in Spanish from recorded music, karaoke (spelling) I guess. I walked…
