Today is a day like any other day, getting up and going into a job that I love with every fiber in me, sometimes I do not like how people are talked to and really have to basically turn off my thoughts and just go be the best artist, manager and customer service rep that I can be. We have a great store and usually the best customer service in the industry. The company will not hire a person unless they have at least one year of experience in a retail field of some sort, even though they tell us to go out and talk to people in places like restaurants and other such job atmospheres.
I was at work for about an hour and have been hearing the last few weeks that there is animosity between some of the cosmetic girls and the cosmetic manager, whether it is because of the way that she talks to people or how her approach on any one subject may be. Working under her for about 8 months, learning how she reacts and acts was not hard to do. Basically, the woman has no right being where she is because she is always talking smack about someone or another and it can be to one person and then she goes over to the person she was just talking about and complains about the first person she was talking to. Morally she has none in the business sense of the word, although she is very worthy in the fact that she does value the aspect of needing the sales on a daily basis and she does everything she can think of to compensate for good days or sales weeks or a number of other things. Yesterday it was a complete nightmare; there is one associate that was kind of hurt because she felt she should have won these tickets the store got for top sales of a certain perfume vendor. Sadly to say she did not win them, even though it was for her area, the sales manager was the one that had received the package and decided to award them to the highest seller of an item for a week (we were down in this item, so we needed to up it somehow), I was the one that actually won the tickets because I won the new contest that was being given. Given this cruelty as was thought by said associate, rumors had it that the manager had said something about age (big no-no) and older being replaced with younger. Normally, I just end up ignoring things like this because it is usually just rumor by misunderstanding or not listening. There was a box that had been sitting at the girls counter that she asked me to take care of because she did not want to get into trouble by the manager by placing it where it needed to be placed(in the office), I told her it would be ok, but that I would take it. Later that day; the manager was freaking out because of this box and while in the office she asked what it was doing there. I simply told the truth and where it had
