Music has been an experience that has significantly impacted my life. It has become a venue where I can freely express myself while stimulating my intellectual growth. The love of music started when I was in 6th grade. I signed up for the school's first talent show. It was my first time singing in front of everyone. I was a little nervous but when I started singing, everyone clapped and at the end, I received a standing ovation. I brought so much excitement in the room and at that very moment, I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Up until now, I have performed at the talent shows every year and I have received the same responses from the audience. I realized that through music I was able to connect with my community.

I explored other options in music and fell upon Deejaying. I worked hard every day, improving on my mistakes and strengthening my new talent. I became so good, I quickly became certified. That pushed me for more. I took classes for production and software in sonar, protools, mixmiester, and studio management. Before I knew it, I created my own studio in my room. The more involved I became with music, the more involved I became with my community.

I am so blessed I accomplished a lot of my goals. Music helped me become involved with my peers, teachers and officials. I became a member of the Cliffside Park Ensemble, participated in the Cliffside Park Band, and joined the Cliffside Park baseball team my sophomore
