When it comes to interpreting the definition of what the word “worldview” means and what encompasses, I believe that it has a lot to do with where a person stands within their own individual perspective, idealism, religious experiences and impressions. According to the dictionary, worldview is described as “The overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world, or a definitive “collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by a particular individual or a group. “ (The American Heritage Dictionary, n.d) Personally, I believe that a person’s worldview prospective can be derived, formed and manipulated from an array of inter-connected categorical stimuli such as class culture, religion and childhood upbringing.
Considering that I belong to the Theism category of believers, my adaptation and perspective views favor the belief of there not only being a God, but He is extremely personable and intimate (Weider & Guitierrez, 2011). When it comes to objectively explaining my position as it concerns the Question of Origin or how did life come about, I first look to the scripture for guidance. Indefinitely without contention, I believe that God Himself is the author of the Bible through divine inspiration. So to further understand the significance of how our existence was created as found in Genesis chapter 1, I would first turn our attention to John Chapter 1 verse 1 to further explain my position. John Chapter 1 Verse 1 definitively states without question that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (NIV).” Essentially the phrase “In the beginning” carries us the reader back to the initial scriptural passage of Genesis 1:1-2, where there scripture delineates the sense of the imminate beginning where God himself spoke the universe out of Ex Nihilo; what is to be defined and translated as being out of nothing or void. (Weider & Guitierrez, 2011)
After understanding the foundational basis of where and how we were created, we can subjectively approach the Question of Identity. I believe that we are each a unique expression of God living to essentially fulfill a divine mission and purpose within the earth realm. Genesis Chapter 1 gives an account to not only who created everything including the earth, heavens, sun, moon, oceans but, how He created man as seen in the first 3 scriptures of the Gospel of John. But as we continue to read we find in verse 14 it descriptively tells us that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us as the true Son of God. To further delineate the difference between humans and animals we can look to the book of Psalms (8:5) where it gives a linear expression or comparison of definitive hierarchy between mankind angels and the animals.
As fore stated in this essay when attempting to ideologically address the question of origin, I believe we are each a unique expression of God living to essentially fulfill a divine mission and purpose within the earth realm. I believe this to be a foundational understanding when attempting to address the Question of Purpose as to why mankind exists. Our book expresses a variety of belief structures, perspectives and indoctrinated themes. All prove to be legitimate perspectives, but with my experiences and viewpoint I still side with the Christian perspective which states that we are to have an interpersonal relationship with God as found in Deuteronomy chapter 11 verse 13 (Weider & Guitierrez, 2011). It’s been theoretically, transcribed and theorized that the whole relativity of religion is mans direct attempt to realign themselves to ultimately reach God; whereas, and the Bible is God’s plan and directive to meet Mankind as found in John chapter 17:3 (Weider & Guitierrez, 2011).
In cognition with our earthly purposes we as mankind were biblically instructed and held accountable to maintain a morally upright/ethical perspective and posture. To respectively answer the proposition or Question of
