Wind Energy A wind farm is a piece of land where many windmills or turbines are placed so when the wind blows, energy will be made. When the wind blows the turbines will spin making kinetic energy that is then put through a generator that turns the kinetic energy into electricity. Same thing happens with the windmills. The blades will turn then will be put into a kinetic generator. It is a natural power plant. Renewable energy is energy from a source that is not depleted when used. Such as wind, solar, hydro, and bio, and geothermal power. Those are resources that are infinite. The world will never run out of wind. And as long as we have wind, we will have kinetic energy, and when we have kinetic energy, we have electricity. Wind farms are both good and poor at making energy. It is good because it is eco-friendly and doesn’t harm the environment at all. It is poor because of the times it can be used. For wind energy, humans must rely on only the wind. So when there is no wind that day, we won’t have electricity. It is unreliable compared to the industries and power plants we have. Wind farms are an eco-friendly source to make power. There is no coal being burned and no harsh fumes being let into the air. They are also very quiet compared to major factories and plants. The disadvantages to wind farms are that sometimes there is no way that you can make them work. If there is no wind, you can’t get electricity. Wind farms are all over Europe and other countries,
