Why Action Movies are better than Dramas The movie industry is like the library in the way that a person may walk around dazed and confused by the overwhelming number of choices, whether it be action, drama, comedy, dramatic romance etc. Choosing one of these is in many ways one of the most difficult choices any human has to deal with. Hollywood hears the cries and the whines of “there are so many choices I don’t know which to choose”, and “my head is spinning from constant influx of choices, I’m just not going to pick any of them.”. Hollywood then put into motion a play that will change the face of the movie industry forever. Making two separate genres that encompass all the choices, these categories are action, and drama. Action, being the better option for the viewers, by means of being more engaging to the brain rather than the humdrum of most drama movies. Action movies: what first comes to mind is the overgeneralization that action movies are the mono-brow of the movie industry, by making comments such as “oh that movies patently wrong; in fact, in my years of movie going enterprises, I have found that actions movies not only have some of the best fight scenes but also have a deep engaging story showing why the action takes place. The way he intends to do it is bring in Riddick as a prisoner but what he is planning is much more clever and sinister; he plans to use Riddick as a distraction while he slips around the king and kill him. Skipping to the end, Riddick is in the lord master’s main hall disguised as a guard; when the lord master calls a meeting of his highest generals and soldiers, as the meeting progresses, Riddick, being the impatient brute that he is, rips off his heavy armor and charges at the lord master with the two daggers that were attached to the armor which he had killed the earlier owner for. As Riddick is charging the throne, the master turns and grabs him by the throat and throws him all the way back towards the front door, causing Riddick to ricochet of the door and back onto the hard concrete floor. . An aggressive battle ensues with Riddick relentlessly assaulting the master to no avail. All is lost for Riddick at this moment, but what Riddick does not realize is that the general has sent one of his many concubines behind the lord masters throne with a poisoned blade; which she then plunges into the back of the master, causing him to buckle and scream leaving an opening for Riddick to assault him one more time. This time Riddick lands a fatal blow to the master’s head as he drove the dagger deeper into the master’s temple causing instantaneous death. This shows not only that the action can be fast paced and generally awesome, but the inner
