Community Policing Community policing is one of the more popular approaches to policing today. The basic philosophy of policing is altered from community policing. Community policing involves much more than just driving the patrol car throughout the community. Community policing can be confound, puzzling and time consuming and must be taken seriously in order to achieve any results. Through community policing so much can be accomplished but to be accepted by the community itself, it has to be presented in the proper manner. Robert C. Trojanowicz and Bonnie Bucqueroux are practically experts in Criminal Justice and hold PhD’s. They both offer very motivating and particular views on community policing and how it is viewed today. The complicatedness and expenditure of being a more positive law enforcement organization, officials have edited programs, such as, Crime Prevention Programs to announce to local communities how they can put a stop to becoming a prey of crime themselves. Programs such as these and the accomplishment that they have carried on over the years have produced other significance in using the community, most recent technology and support to fight crime. A knowledgeable law enforcement officer would perhaps suggest that this would be an enormous obstacle to defeat, but an idle line of attack is not going to accomplish anything.
